Annual Old Car Fun Day Saturday August 21st

You’ve been waiting patiently, and now it’s time again for the Annual Western Reserve Section Old Car Fun Day. This event draws twenty to thirty cars from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. And we get some older and some newer. It’s great fun looking at interesting old cars, talking car stuff, and hanging out with friends and making new acquaintances. Al Calandra–In Memoriam

The Western Reserve Section lost a valued member when Al Calandra passed away recently. Al and his wife Lea became section members in September 1961 when they were the proud owners of a 219 sedan. Both Al and Lea were very active in the early years of our section, serving as officers and board members, helping to organize section activities, growing membership,  and bringing fun and entertainment to our events. WRS Members Recognized at our Holiday Party

45 members and guests of the Western Reserve Section gathered in the awe-inspiring “Chapel” of the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton. Cocktails and hors D’Oeuvres were served at 6:30 followed by a delicious dinner. The facility had at one time been a seminary and a boy’s school for high school aged boys planning to be priests or brothers. Therefore, the Chapel had truly been the chapel for the facility.
