Our annual Fall Leaf Tour promises to be a fun-filled Saturday with a variety of sights to see in addition to our beautiful Ohio fall weather. Jim and Barb Tullis will meet participants at the Bob Evans on SR18 just east of I-77 (4076 Medina Rd., Akron 44333) at 8:00 am. The group will leave for the Farm at Walnut Creek at 8:15 sharp. The Farm is always entertaining with a variety of animals to see and to feed as you tour the grounds.
The tour will then take a 30-minute drive to Dover for the American Gas Pump Heaven Museum tour beginning at 1:00 pm. The museum is a treasure trove of automobilia, nostalgia, and Americana. Roger, the founder of the non-profit museum, will give us his special tour. Roger will have a special surprise for those who may think the museum is only for “the boys” who love to talk about their cars. The ladies will enjoy this part as much or more than the men. It is a trip down memory lane!
Lunch is on your own but we suggest Sammie Sue’s BBQ. After lunch we will visit the Dennison Depot, and continue along Tappan Lake to Cadiz where the 1-day tour will end and have easy access to I-77 to return home.
To register for the tour, contact Don Velcio at 440-655-7803 or register online here .
