Want to have a relaxing summer day along the shores of Lake Erie at the Huron Yacht Club where you can display your favorite car and enjoy a great lunch with a local flavor at the club? Then make your reservation now for this fun event! You can join our group at the Panera in Independence and caravan to Huron, or drive there on your own if that is easier. Our hosts, Western Reserve Section members Ron and Darlene Renzoni, have arranged a special parking area for us to display our cars. After some social time to catch up with friends we will have lunch at the club. We’ll also do a fun car show—no special vehicle preparation required!
This is Riverfest weekend in Huron, so there are many things to do after lunch. Check out the Riverfest Road Show—a car show held in a nearby church parking lot—before visiting the Riverfest featuring food, vendors, live music, and more.
Schedule for the day:
10:00 am—meet at the Panera in Independence (6700 Rockside Rd., Independence OH 44131)
10:30 am—depart Panera for the drive to Huron. This is approximately a 1 hour drive.
12:00 noon—lunch at the Huron Yacht Club (350 Huron Street, Huron OH 44839)—order off the menu and pay your own tab. Lake Erie favorites walleye and perch as well as many other tasty items are on the menu.
After Lunch—MBCA fun car show and Riverfest activities
Depart Huron at your leisure to head for home or to enjoy other local attractions such as golfing at the Thunderbird Golf Course or visiting the shops in nearby Vermilion
The registration fee is $10 per car; we also need to know how many people are attending so we can make arrangements for the luncheon at the Yacht Club
