The Western Reserve MBCA Annual Holiday Party will be held on January 8, 2011. We received so much favorable response to last year’s event that our board decided to return to the Glenmoor Country Club this year. We will again be in the Chapel for the Saturday night event, but this year, the Christmas decorations will still be up. Breakfast the next morning will include a tour of the facility by Dan Kirby, the same person who gave the excellent history of the facility last year.
We will gather for cocktails at 6:30 followed by dinner at 7:00 in the Chapel at Glenmoor Country Club–(4191 Glenmoor Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44718) site of the elegant Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles in September. Recognition will be given to our section Member of the Year and membership anniversary pins will be presented. Join us at 9:00 am on Sunday for breakfast and a brief overview of our 2011 plans followed by a tour of the facility. Dinner attire is dressy with black tie optional; breakfast is casual.
Sleeping rooms are available at the Bertram of Glenmoor. Room reservations are due by December 8. In order to receive the special holiday rate of $109.00 plus tax contact the Bertram at (330) 966-3600 and be sure to mention you are with the MBCA when you make your reservation.
Dinner menu choices ($49 per person) are as follows:
Marinated Pork Loin Medallion–House marinated and served with a Tomato Madeira Demi Glace
Chicken Milanese–Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast topped with Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella, Tomatoes, Garlic, and Arugula with a Balsamic Reduction
Vegetable Risotto–Vegetarian–Artichoke hearts, roasted Roma tomatoes, mushroom blend, asparagus, zucchini, sweet peppers, and onions with Arborio Rice
All Entrees include 2 sides and a salad
Plated Sunday Breakfast ($15 per person)–Chilled orange juice, scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, hash brown potatoes, fresh fruit garnish, basket of honey baked biscuits with butter & jellies, coffee, decaf, assorted teas.
