Our 14th annual Old Car Fun Day will be hosted by WRS President Rod Thompson (3175 Roundwood Road, Hunting Valley, Oh 44022) on Saturday, August 13th. The event will start at 11:00 a.m. and end when the last question is answered.
Old Car Fun Day is open to all years and models and provides a forum for owners and enthusiasts to meet each other and chat about their experiences as drivers and owners of older M-Bs. If you have a question or are experiencing a problem with your car, this is a great opportunity to get answers from your fellow enthusiasts.
An addition to this year’s program is a symposium and group discussion about powertrains and fuels of the past, present, and future. In the early 1900s there were many ideas about automotive fuel, and 120 years later it has become a big topic again.
We will be joined by Michael Peters, CEO and co-founder of Sway Mobility and National Treasurer of The Electric Auto Association, who will give us a vision of what an EV world might look like. Section President Rod Thompson will present information on areas of concern if we switch to EVs, and section member Gary Goodman will share his experiences while living with an EV for over 50k miles while traveling through the Midwest.
This should prompt a lively group discussion!!
Registration is $20 per person and includes a luncheon of pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, potato salad, Great Lakes Oktoberfest Beer & other refreshments. The deadline is Wednesday August 11th!
