Monday Performance Driving School at Mid-Ohio
A very special thanks goes out to Kurt von Leyser for these photos! While many of us were braving the rain on the track, Kurt was outside STANDING in the rain to get these photos. The rainy photos were taken overlooking the area from the backstretch through the esses (an area normally referred to as Madness); the dry track photos were taken as cars came through the Carousel headed past the pit entrance and onto the front straight. Kurt also photographed the acceleration runs on the back stretch.

In addition to the track activities on Monday and Tuesday, Gemuetlichkeit 2011 offered opportunities for the non-drivers to enjoy the local area. On Monday, the Amish Tour included a visit to Lehman’s Hardware and lunch at an Amish farm home. Tuesday offered a special tea cupping and luncheon.
